During the Launch of Alliance for National Transportation (ANT) plan to register It into a Party, Former Army commander, General Mugisha Muntu made this statement ” you said I am a mole? I am not, you will be surprised one day to know the real NRM moles!” He bitterly mused after the media reminded him how Kizza Besigye and FDC supporters destroyed him as a mole to deny him FDC Presidency.Gen Muntu wanted a more structured grassroots based FDC Party to take power and have Members in Parliament to beat NRM. While Kizza Besigye insisted on a defiance, more of a joke engaging Yoweri Museveni with EriasLukwago and Betty Namboze on Kampala streets.
Asking and instilling fears on Ugandans that Yoweri Museveni can not be ousted by votes alone yet he stands for Presidency denying voters the right to vote.
Later with M7 winning 68% to 34%, NRM having almost 300 MPs of the 375: he claims rigging. While Ugandans are dying for Kizza Besigye, he has over 24 petrol stations, own Hotels and ranch in Kyankwanzi, Kampala and many places.
Remember, in 1996: him and General Salim Saleh brother to Yoweri Museveni robbed Uganda of over 1.9 trillion shillings buying junk choppers when he was Chief of Logistics and Engineering in UPDF.
The story is long. Kizza Besigye being NRA/M Ideologue, political commissar and personal Doctor to Yoweri Museveni, fooled Ugandans to think they are rivalries over a woman Winnie Byanyima.

It must be noted that, the family is together and protect each other. In 1989; in a meeting chaired by Jovia Saleh’s wife, in the presence of Winnie Byanyima, NRM was to be under Hima/ Tutsi rule/ Ankole for 50 years and beyond.
This is a project that they greatly honour. Always the team moves out of the country to discuss. The army Generals who silently or openly rejected this were killed. Gen Noble Mayombo, Gen kazini and General Aronda. The son of former Vice President, Gilbert Bukenya also objected to the move especially when they realised Muhoozi was a project.
The first people to be annihilated for the project to be achieved are the rebels leaders he worked with him like Andrew Kayira and many others. Then Acholi, Lango and Teso tribes were to be wiped out but God wouldn’t allow. They made them poor, spread AIDS and committed Genocide.
Now individual leaders in Acholi were targeted. If you can not win them, paint them yellow.
Nobert Mao and later Democratic Party became a victim. NRM had to destroy the man politically and entered and destroyed his family. When Mao became DP President, it was a problem.
A meeting was held in UK between, Kizza Besigye, Winnie Byanyima, Betty Namboze and Janet Museveni. The main aim was how to neutralise Mao, Buganda and DP. Being eloquent in Luganda and being DP President was a danger.
They agreed to back up Suubi movement, a Buganda outfit to fight Mao and DP. They set up even media groups to make DP useless. To date, 15 years down the road, Namboze is a pretender with Besigye. Remember in 1990s the two were very close, Namboze an NRM mobiliser before they arrested her for corruption and Kizza Besigye a Minister.
It should be noted that Erias Lukwago is very quiet even though he deputies Kizza Besigye in people government. Because he knows the truth, he either shut up or they kill him and say it is people power and DP bloc Yoweri Museveni moles.
What is People Government
It was a well planned move by the traitors. When they realised that Buganda is fully behind Bobi’s people Power, and opposition DP is gaining support, they intensified its activities.
The people government was to counter and weaken PP. It failed. Kizza Besigye will be a candidate against Yoweri Museveni. With three strong people running, it will be easy for Yoweri Museveni to win.
When DP bloc became one, they painted it yellow and tried to divorce from PP but Bobi realised it.
The resent appointment of Winnie as ED UNAIDS backed by Yoweri Museveni exposed them. The same government that rejected to Back Prof Olara Otunu in the 1990s as the first African UN General Secretary backed the wife of Kizza Besigye. When NRM backed Mukasa Mbiddee a DP for East African Parliament EALA, Kizza Besigye and team amplified the mole thing so bad. Yet, DP is always directing its dagger on Yoweri Museveni. FDC like Ann Mugisha, Winnie Byanyima wife of Besigye, Maj Rurangaranga are directly working on Yoweri Museveni assignments but Ugandans can’t see the folly!
The ANT leader is worshipped in UPDF and in case Bobi wine wins with Mugisha Muntu, UPDF will back opposition leader. When Bobi was asked to be killed, Baganda soldiers of all levels protected him, even God.
To Kizza Besigye, Namboze and team, you may fool Ugandans sometimes but not all the time! I saw no response on resent exposure, they are planning what to say. NRM may accept that they may disown them. But know you now. We know how government of Yoweri Museveni protected your son Kanyamunyu after killing Acholi boy Akena in Kampala. NRM stood with you and the killers are free.

To avoid time proving you wrong and History condemning you, support opposition and people Power. Unite and see!
To Ugandans, for God is with us

Where did Bad Black go? Where did SK Mbuga go? Where did Mike Ezra go?
Where did siraji Bakaleke go?
Where did Frank Mwesigwa go? Where did Amama Mbabazi go?
Where did kalekyezi Edward kayihura go? Where did Hon Aggrey Awori go?
Where did Bakakumba matsiko,Major Kakooza muzale in KAP, SP Aron Baguma go?I have not lived for a very long time, but I have seen things change.
I have seen men who would ‘kujooga’ this country sink into oblivion. Maybe it is really true, we all just have our 15 minutes of fame and they soon pass.
When I had just joined Facebook, the celebs of those days were Henry Jr Maks, Divine Marley, General Sweetman. Today no one even remembers them.
Who did not witness the days when WBS TV was the thing? We even had an anthem; ‘WBS eyange…tv station esinga…abiiri mutaano ku TV yo…WBS etusse.” People where is WBS now?
What happened to Barbara Yata? Do you people even remember that name? What about PAM Awards? Ragga Dee, Rasta ROB, Shakis Vividie, Menton cruno, sweet kid, Steve jean, and many others where are they?
It is funny, we just see these things and never learn from them. Doreen Kabareebe was the talk of the town. Today, hardly anyone can recognize her if she walked by.
Just because you are having your 15 minutes of fame should not get to your head. Your minutes too shall pass.
I have seen girls that every man yearned for become girls that no man notices. I have seen men who had nothing become something. Life keeps changing its house. Today it may be in your house, it may leave tomorrow.
Just because you have made some little money, and invested in your rentals should not make you think you have arrived. I have seen men sell off everything they had and return to zero. Today’s gold is tomorrow’s copper.
Do you remember when the mobile phone had just become popular in this country? What happened?
Lesson in all this, just be humble. Don’t let success get to your head and don’t look down on anyone who is not having it yet well.
If you have a job, reach out and try to get your friends into jobs. Who knows? If you have money, take off some of it and help a friend or relative. Karma is a real bitch.
Today you may be on top, tomorrow you could be totally nothing. One of the books that changed my life were Nassim Taleb’s Black Swan and Fooled by Randomness.
Life is very random. Yet people keep thinking it is all about their might, their intelligence. How foolish of them!!! Today you are walking all healthy, tomorrow you can wake up to a cancer diagnosis. And that will instantly alter your life. Life can change in split seconds. I have seen destinies change in seconds. All of a sudden, the bread winner of a family dies and a family is back to zero, back to eating crumbs.
Remember the times of Seya, when ssebagala was returning back from studies, we walked from Entebbe up his home.
That’s why I laugh at people when they get some fame, some little money and become stupidly arrogant. Many more like you have come, many more like you have have gone.
Those of us who were on Myspace remember the celebs of Myspace. Now where is Myspace today? Where is Yahoo?
I can go on and on. Too many examples. So when you get your 15 minutes of fame, use them wisely. And always remember, what goes around comes around. Even Fooda was a hit song….

27th August 2019 at 10:19 am #393I LOVE SOCIAL MEDIA CRITICISM THAT HELPS SOME PEOPLE PUT OFF STEAM
I love my own identity and what I believe in.Many times I start off my piece of work by telling people that I take time to make decisions and more often than not, I am not wrong.
In 1979 when President Yusuf Kironde Lule (RIP) was removed from office after 68 days, I was among students of St. Mary’s College Kisubi who joined the ‘no Lule no work’ demonstration along Entebbe Highway. By then Museveni was Minister of defense. As we demonstrated, Museveni and his men met us. They stopped, the army men surrounded us and he (Museveni) told us to go back to school.
Then came the time when Godfrey Binaisa (RIP) was put under house arrest. His crime, he had tampered with ‘the untouchable’ military men in a cabinet reshuffle with the hope of external assistance to consolidate his hold to power. He lost the Presidency and was later just helped or smuggled out of house arrest in Entebbe.
Then we got the General elections of 1980. It was very surprising to find Mr. Museveni bring a man who he had been party to put under house arrest (Godfrey Binaisa) to be second in his UPM Party. And that was my first observation as I tried to study President Museveni. He knew Binaisa had become popular.
When UPM did not make it, the scheme was to use UPC rigging out DP to take power after the 1980 elections. So, President Museveni led his group into a 5 year Bush War. This time, he decided to join hands to a man he had been party to see out of the office of President just after slightly more than two months – Yusuf Kironde Lule.
So, when I tell people that unlike those who go with the bandwagon, that is not how I operate, I mean it. I did not support the Bush War even for a day, nor the breaking of the Nairobi Peace talks, nor did I support the capture of power in 1986 and I have never regretted.
Today I do not regret. When the NRM Government can let people fundraise to be able to successfully make their campaigns to get to political offices, and they decide to play hide and seek with me so that I do not get a single coin from the fundraised resources, I do not get surprised because they entered office on a ticket of deceit. Many have woken up to see NRM change goal posts by easily changing the Constitution to suit them and they wake up from their slumber. Kituuka is not the type, I foresaw this about 38 years ago.
I will keep saying this:
If the joint opposition cannot get to a round table and agree that Uganda’s problem is the NRM system of Governance, I can assure you, all other effort is a waste of time. It may be better termed selfishness.
The voting bloc is the universal set. However, this in the first instance is inflated such that whenever we go for elections there is room to manipulate by adding ‘air’ voters to those who actually cast their votes.
When we talk of consensus we mean it. When the saying is that President Museveni should retire, it is ironical for a single person to come convincing the voters that after all he or she can get over 50% in a Presidential election under the existing circumstances! That is air supply. To me, that is more of day dreaming.
When the forces are united, there is pooling of resources, economy on manpower that can supervise at each polling station and ability to reward their work is easier. One has to take note of the many polling stations countrywide.
It is not uncommon to find ungazetted polling stations planted just on the polling day. I remember making effort to report one prior to 2016 General election.
There is no degree of anger that can lead right thinking people into selfishness simply because they have a candidate of their choice.
When we tell Ugandans that we need a person who is acceptable to both the opposition and those in Government, we are talking sense. We have Ugandans who are professional at destabilizing the country. We saw it during Binaisa’s time. You may be the type who does not want to hear the name of President Museveni now, but do not risk the time when you may be ready to kneel down and beg him to come and control the mess simply because you supported someone not knowing that having numbers is the necessary condition to win the Presidency, but not sufficient to ensure security of persons and their property as well as maintain tenure in State House.
You find a Ugandan so tribalistic. He or she tells you that ‘no way to have a Munyankole or someone from western Uganda’ as a Presidential candidate he or she can support in 2021. That is under myopic given our circumstances. My friend, it is better to take a longer route to your destination than risk the insecurity of a shortcut or even not reaching where you want to get.
We have seen people from Western Uganda who are not only humane but are humble and can be acceptable to many Ugandans irrespective of political divide and are not soiled yet have been players in the NRN Government infrastructure. It is better to zero on such individuals and thereafter when they have helped the country to get on the correct political line with Good Governance as the norm then the favorite candidates can take up the challenge from there.
I also wish to inform the professionals at criticizing others, spoiling their names and abusing them because of their opinions to first see how heavy they are. Some of us have works to show. We have fundraised billions into the country for the benefit of others. Such money is not given to empty tins. We analyze issues and are able to put it to public consumption. Move slowly if you do not have written intellectual work to show, because then you have no intellectual foundation to trash other people’s wink.
If you want to criticize someone’s work, get the scale and measure yourself against it, if you find that you fit the intellectual capacity of the author or are better than him intellectually then you are at liberty to trash his presentation.
As I have written before, I base on solid observations that is why I do not lament seeing what is going on under NRM. I expected it simply because I take time to analyze issues. I do not go with the masses only to find ourselves drowning.
That is what they call being principled.

16th October 2019 at 2:38 pm #407Whoever gets near to contest for President sticks like glue to the contest
In Uganda we have a problem. Whoever gets near to contest for President sticks like glue to the contest which is to the disadvantage of Ugandans.IT IS BEING SAID THAT DR. BESIGYE AND HON. KYAGULANYI ARE HAVING TALKS AND AT THE SAME TIME THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRESIDENT GENERAL THREATENS TO HAVE A PARTY CANDIDATE IN PLACE BY END OF 2019 IF NO JOINT OPPOSITION PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IS ELECTED.
By William Kiwanuka Kituuka
When Dr. Besigye sold as a hot cake in 2001, Hon. Paul Ssemogerere easily gave him opportunity to stand as a revolutionary who stood good chance to dislodge President Museveni in 2001. Unfortunately, things did not work out and the Reform Agenda had no evidence that the Doctor won. In 2006, the Doctor was again back, still the poll results were not in his favor. The problem being that there is no adduced evidence from the Results Declaration Forms countrywide showing that Dr. Besigye won. The same has been the case in 2011 and 2016. Even then, Dr. Besigye is not yet done.
The problem with Besigye is that he shows the Uganda public that President Museveni is bad, but he keeps playing upon the intelligence of Ugandans. As of now, he told Ugandans that he won the 2016 Presidential elections. That is not easy to believe on two fronts: the number of MPs of FDC puts that allegation to doubt, and the failure to identify any media to publish the results clearly points to the possibility that it is all propaganda.
Ugandans are yet to be done with Dr. Besigye’s ‘katemba’ or circus. Out of the blue, Besigye came up with ‘People’s Government’. This according to him is parallel Government to the NRM Government, whatever that means.
Not long ago, Hon. Kyagulanyi came out openly to tell his constituents that they look for his replacement! It is not clear what calculation Kyagulanyi is making which is likely to leave him neither President of Uganda after the 2021 Presidential election and nor a Member of Parliament.
We are having these problems because of illusion. Hon. Kyagulanyi has the opportunity of being received big when he is out of Uganda and many Ugandans believe that the big push for Kyagulanyi to Presidency lies outside Uganda.
Unfortunately, the people behind the push seem to be out of touch with the reality and facts on ground. One major reason why Dr. Besigye has been welcome as ‘joint’ opposition candidate four times now is that people know that it is military infrastructure in control in Uganda. The question to ask: When did the climate change to the extent that a man completely green of what is going on in the Uganda kitchen is the best option to take on President Museveni and thereafter get power handed over to him? Let us stop leaving in Dreamland. The Ugandans who seriously have assets cannot take chances to have things in hands of an excited gambler backed by some few powers out of the country.
On September 29, 2019 there was a very unfortunate development at Mombasa in Kenya. Mariam Kighenda 35 and her daughter Amanda Mutheu 4, got on MV Harambee in their family car. Unfortunately, the car dripped off the ferry falling into the Indian Ocean in the Likoni channel. After some days as the strategy to recover the wreckage of the car was being undertaken with a lot of blame by various parties, a joint team of divers including some from South Africa agreed to the way forward. 13 days after the car fell into the water, it was possible to locate its exact position in the Ocean at 58 meters below. There are no mistakes that became public knowledge, the wreckage was recovered and the bodies to the excitement of many.
This is a lesson to learn from. Uganda does not need Dr. Besigye who keeps shifting goal posts to suit his interests or Hon. Kyagulanyi who has already declared that he is standing for President.
I am therefore saying: Dr. Besigye and Kyagulanyi talks cannot have the backing or even bind Ugandans. There is need to originate a democratic process that can through consensus vote one candidate and his run mate for President and Vice President. Short of that, we shall not be able to ‘get the wreckage of the car out of the 58 meter depth it is”. The Uganda we want will not be arrived at when a few selfish person always imagine that they have our mandate.
While the subject of a joint Presidential candidate remains unresolved, Hon. Mao has threatened that if the process does not get to any meaningful conclusion then the Democratic Party will have to come up with a candidate of their own. This still is no news as it will just give President Museveni another clean victory in 2021.
We need to be serious in Uganda. Stop talking of having Presidential candidates in place when you do not have the billions it takes to make a meaningful contest. Fortunately, as we stand now, if there cannot be a joint approved Presidential candidate, then it is better having President Museveni who is still in control of the situation than risking the uncertainty of having short lived Governments in office as is the likely development should we have a weak candidate backed by votes but in whom there can be no trust in taking the country forward.
As usual, you are entitled to your comments as I am entitled to mine, but I will not bother reading your comments.
Thank you.

6th November 2019 at 2:12 pm #453Forum for Democratic Change emergency meeting
Forum for Democratic Change (fdc) top leadership last night held an emergency meeting at the home of the longtime Presidential hopeful Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye in Kasangati Wakiso district.
The meeting was attended by Dr Besigye, Elias Lukwago, Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, Rubaga Mayor Joyce Naboosa, Sebugwawo, Ingrid Turinawe, Patrick Amuriat Oboi , Harold Kaijja and few of Besigye’s handlers.
Besigye chaired the meeting while Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda wrote the minutes of the meeting.
The meeting started with brief remarks from the convener Dr .Besigye who thanked the party members and those who were in the meeting for standing with him in the liberation cause and supporting him internally within the party.
Besigye also commended the team for being there with him at all party’s stages saying that there have been evolving voices within the party which wanted him out of the party or not represent the party during elections but said he has always successfully subdued them and silenced them.
He noted that those who have tried to challenge him from the party “he said he helped to form and solicit funding” have either left the party disgruntled or left politics or joined the ruling party.
“Comrades I want to commend you for your unending support and continue to call upon you for more support most especially at this time when we are approaching 2021.We must rise up and make sure FDC retains its glory”. Besigye stressed attracting a thunderous appraises from the meeting.
He added” Look at my brother Lukwago he decided to leave Mr Mao’s DP which is in bed with our tormentors in power to come and join our struggle, these are the comrades that must be paid in the same currency once we liberate our motherland”.
Back to the meeting agenda, Besigye told the meeting that the reason why he had invited them was to strategize how to grab back peoples’ attention from whom he termed as the rising youngster Robert Kyagulanyi.“Members you understand our party has been the face of opposition in Uganda but of late my brother Kyagulanyi has come like a storm and swept away our support. Should we watch on as we are reduced to nothing, recently I was away in Europe and our friends were asking me for what next because they are keeping an eye on our local politics? We must find a solution or we perish as fools”
At this time, there was silence in the meeting as members looked at Besigye in the eyes and pondered for the next course of action.
After a few minutes of silence, Ssemujju Nganda came up with proposals which included among others Besigye and top party officials reviving walk to work where every morning they would start walking to work in the city as a way of attracting attention of masses and the media.
Ssemujju also proposed that Besigye should revive the old culture where he travels with other members in his car and park in markets and city centers and start walking as a way of attracting masses and cause disruption.Harold Kaijja also gave his submission where he said that he had another alternative where they could hire disgruntled women and girls to stage demonstrations such that police use excessive force in arresting them thus attracting media attention.
Kaijja also identified key media personnels whom he said that they can help them broadcast these protests both on TVs and social media.
“Members we saw last time when Bobi was in town, he was a coward, he did not allow police to get near him, he just ran away and the message was not effective because police brutality was not exposed. If we come face to face with these people and confront them, they will also confront us and we shall get public sympathy” Kaijja said.
He added “look at our event on Monday in Kireka, we have dominated the news, I see these Magere boys crying on social media that Dr is looking relevance, am telling you if we continue with the momentum, Kyagulanyi won’t see the ballot paper”.Mayor Ssebugwawo also in her submission noted that Kyagulanyi has of late been using a section of clergy from Rubaga to further his political ambitions but said that she is going to approach her people there to see how to clip his wings.
“Members it’s true the issue of Kyagulanyi is a serious one because he is trying to encroach on us. I have my people in the Catholic Church I will talk to them such that we find a solution.
Ingrid Turinawe also expressed support for Kaijja and said she is will use all her abilities to mobilize women in towns to start demonstrations and confront security forces.
She also noted that there is a need for the party to reenergize the party social media worriers to attack Bobi Wine and discredit him in the public.
Erias Lukwago offered free legal services to every FDC activist and party leadership who will be arrested in the due course.
The meeting ended at 11 PM and members are expected to reconvene in a fortnight.uganda.uk.com
14th November 2019 at 7:18 pm #464Dr Kizza Besigye is the greediest and self-centred politician Uganda
KIZZA BESIGYE A VERY GREEDY POLITICIAN LIKE HYNA SHOULD NOT BE ENTRUSTED WITH OUR NINs.Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate for life Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye is the greediest and self-centred politician Uganda has ever produced and must be shunned like a leper by the well-wishers of a peaceful Uganda.
Kizza Besigye is absolute power corrupt and looking to make money even if it means killing a life in order to secure a political point.
Kizza Besigye has never been content with what he has and it is often his cult members the likes of Ingrid Turinawe sharing his table who enjoy the largest serving of political greed.
If billions of western funders for Kizza Besigye for 20 years are not enough for him, then heaven and earth do not have enough in him to satisfy his greed.
His greed is driving FDC party and the entire opposition to their knees, while we dance and sing for this crook politician and a section of his henchmen in FDC anoint his head with oil declaring him the chosen of the Lord and presidential candidate for life.
But that is not enough for this so-called chosen of the lord of ours, now he has stage-managed another stunt that he is taking President Museveni to ICC in the Hague. This is laughable and only aimed at attempting to revive his lost glory because Ugandans are tired of him and his greedy politics.
Why should Ugandans entrust their NIN numbers with someone who was the first to de-campaign Ugandans against registering for the national Identity Cards.
He is the same Kizza Besigye that said that the Ndangauntu cannot unseat president Museveni yet after the likes Kyagulanyi calling for registrations for it now the same Kizza Besigye who wants to benefit from it to achieve his agenda. Why does Besigye want to reap from where he did not sow?
He has managed to subdue the Najjanankumbi party headquarters and his nkuba kelele rogues feast with him at so called People’s government located on Katonga road while those who refused to sell their souls to him continue to watch the proceedings from TV screens.
Let this one be a call to Ugandans both young and old to stay away from surrendering your NIN numbers to these FDC vultures at Katonga road because it has been revealed that these numbers will end up in criminals in Kampala and will be used for fundraising from western countries.
Besigye harbours vested interests and do not care about the well being of the citizenry.“People Power, Our Power”

18th December 2019 at 1:26 pm #481UGANDANS ARE VICTIMS OF KIZZA BESIGYE’S DECEPTION
2019 will be remembered as a year which started with Kizza Besigye threatened to “remove” Dictator Yoweri Museveni from power before end of the year! Instead, the year has ended with him declaring to stand against Dictator Yoweri Museveni in 2021 general elections! Not only does Kizza Besigye know that he will lose for the 5th time, but he is also the man who says that elections can’t remove Dictator Yoweri Museveni from power! So why is he standing again?Kizza Besigye with due respect told FDC supporters that “he is not fighting for them, but he’s fighting to liberate himself”! That’s very funny!! What is it that Kizza Besigye is liberating himself from when he has businesses running, getting gov’t contracts, and his wife gets high profile jobs supported by President Dictator Yoweri Museveni?
If Kizza Besigye is not fighting to liberate the jobless youths, the mothers who die giving birth, the 350 newborn children dying every day due poor healthcare; if Kizza Besigye is not fighting for the poorly paid police officers and teachers, for the young girls being sold into slavery; for young boys and dropping out of high school every year due to lack of school fees, if he’s not fighting for Ugandans who are losing their lands, then what is he fighting for?In Uganda today, we have two struggles! The first struggle is for us who want change and a break from captivity imposed on us by Bushmen who came to power led by Dictator Yoweri Museveni and Kizza Besigye as his personal doctor; both sharing Winnie as their girlfriend! The second struggle, is by those Bushmen who are still fighting to tighten their grip on power, continue plundering the country and enslaving Ugandans indefinitely! So, when Kizza Besigye says that the struggle they fought for is not over yet, at the same time he’s not fighting for the suffering ordinary Ugandans, it clearly shows which struggle he is spearheading!
In summary, Fellow Ugandans who want change, we all fell for Kizza Besigye ‘s deception in the past, because he was not yet exposed!

10th January 2020 at 9:30 am #489Opposition political forces mocking and working to eliminate each other
Opposition political forces mocking and working to eliminate each other undermines more their strength in 2021.
I read and witness the same mistakes being repeated again and again by the old and new political opposition forces in Uganda. There has not been a platform for opposition forces in Uganda to share and learn from each other’s experiences. Each time there are such efforts it’s always about who to front as a joint opposition Presidential candidate which too has never been a success! IPC 2011 and TDA 2016.
Honestly speaking, over the years I have no noted and observed that opposition in Uganda is suffering from a disease, mentality and culture of ” We can do it alone” this indirectly serves to keep the opposition in an inertia state!
How many times do you need to do something to prove to the world that you can do it alone without success?
Each time we engage in an election, there is always that excitement and with great hopes to defeat the regime. There is a good friend of mine who usually tells me to get loans based on our campaign rallies that we are the next in government. ( Kaaya tulye amabanja kiwedde). The support exhibited by the masses is always evident enough to declare Dr Besigye the next President of Uganda. Four election cycles down the road! here we are still stuck!
Where do opposition political forces always lose this game?
Do opposition political forces make a honest analysis and or SWOT that should be a basis of their next engagements ?
If the regime in power does all evil things prior to an election to frustrate or curtail the liberty and freedom of opposition to prepare for the next election, any sane mind would interest itself and imagine what the same regime invests in to deny opposition victory during an election!!
How do opposition political forces respond in equal and tactical measures to defeat the regime in power?
My repeated humble appeal, there is urgent need for the opposition political forces to organize a joint retreat not to discuss a joint presidential candidate but to share experiences and make a honest assessment.
Note: Our selfish interests aside, if we don’t sit down to lay effective strategies to successfully eject Mzee M7 , with a divided opposition working to eliminate each other, it’s going to be more harder for us to defeat the dot. com generation that is taking over from M7 soon. Remember these are also young people with the zeal and energy to retain and consolidate themselves in power notably with a more comparative advantage of state power, financial muscle and quality education.

22nd May 2020 at 9:38 pm #860Sam Mugumya
Col Kizza Besigye’s aide Sam Mugumya who has been incarcerated in Ndolo Prison in Democratic Republic of Congo- DRC for close to a decade is among the 147 inmates who tested positive for deadly Coronavirus.Mugumya was tested Tuesday by health officials.
According to a source in Ndolo Prison where Mugumya has been serving for almost 5 years, said Mugumya is now in quarantine in the same facility but the challenge is congestion of patients.
“The isolation cell is supposed to accommodate 40 patients. But they are 147 as of now,” a source said.
No official in Ndolo Prison was willing to discuss Mugumya’s health status by press time.
DRC has since confirmed 1834 cases of Coronavirus, 302 have recovered and 61 died.
Reports emerging from DRC have indicated that overcrowding prisons is ‘ticking time-bomb’ for COVID-19 pandemic.
“DRC’s main prisons are filled at 432 percent on average, making them some of the most overcrowded in the world,” reports Aljazeera.com.
for example, Muzenze prison in Goma was built for 150 prisoners but contains more than 2000 inmates.
